i ordered this for my crafty daughter who also travels for months at a time for her job. this is a terrific way to take crafts with you on the road that doesn't take up space and you can still have your downtime and art fix. she loved it. well made and very nice.

I'm trying to teach myself how to paint with watercolors and still feel very intimidated by a blank page. This set lets me try some fast little experiments while I wait in line or have a few minutes to sit, and the paper and kit in general are small enough that I don't feel like it's a Big Deal, I Must Create ART. Instead, I make a little picture of some random object on the spur of the moment, and whether it does/doesn't turn out the way I planned, I can take it home and figure out why.

This set has everything this newbie needs, and more. The palette is wood and lovely, it excites my creativity just by looking beautiful. There are tools and gizmos that I'm learning to use. The paints are in tubes instead of hard little bricks, and are not your basic spectrum -- I can experiment with different greens, blues, etc.

The set is just gorgeous and I'm having a wonderful time creating non-masterpieces and improving my skills. I highly recommend it!

A couple of small notes: the instructions seem to be for a slightly different version of the set, but honestly, I prefer this design and had no trouble figuring everything out. Also, you may want to add a small pencil sharpener to complete the kit.

The paper in the sketchbook is super thick and feels like it is very high quality. I think that it will hold up well and not curl when managing the water inherent with watercolor painting. The color selection is great for most paintings and the colors are pure enough to permit simple mixes. I look forward to painting some landscapes in the included sketchbook. I also like to try painting techniques that I find on TikTok and will enjoy creating small paintings to test out those techniques. I like how easily everything fits into the travel case so this can truly be a portable set that I can use on the go.

I've been watercolor painting for a year or so and was looking for something I could take with me on vacation. This kit has everything you need! I wanted this set for a long time. I love paint and the fact that this set is so portable and stylish I am excited to use it. One of the best features its the makers of this set though of everything for the artist. How we handle the pallette, the texture of the paper the quality of the brush, and the options with the pallette is a huge plus. The wooden case is nostalgic of the traditional paint cases. This is the most beautiful case i have ever owned. An artist 2 thumbs up.

Such a cute watercolor set! I'm still a beginner with watercolor, but this kit made it really easy to start since everything you need is already included. I really like this palette design. Just something to note though-the palette comes empty, so you need to fill it with the watercolor tubes included in the kit. The colors you see in my photo are the ones I squeezed in myself. The paints are semi-dry in texture, very vibrant, and they mix together easily. A little bit seems to go a long way, so I feel like the tubes will last quite a while. The brush is one of those refillable water brushes, so you can just squeeze a little water onto the paint and start mixing right away. The painting sweatband included in the set is actually pretty handy for cleaning the brush while you're painting. It's a really portable setup. I have a trip coming up next week and I'm excited to bring this along for plein air :)
